Instructor insight

The P2006T revolutionised multi-engine training economics. With two Rotax 912s, fuel burn is roughly half that of traditional twins. The aircraft handles single-engine flight very benignly, making it ideal for MEP training. The G1000 prepares students well for modern commercial operations.

Student experience

The 100hp engines mean performance is modest compared to traditional twins. Some students initially struggle with the different sound profile. Single-engine climb gradient is limited - requires good technique.
