How CloudFunder uses information you give us.

Who we are

Email sign-up

We collect your email address, the topics you choose, and the time you give consent. We also store the page and form you used. We do not store your IP address on the subscriber record. We store a hashed identifier of your network address, scoped by day, to limit automated sign-ups. The lawful basis is consent. We send a confirmation email through Resend. The confirmation link expires in 48 hours and can be used once. We do not send topic emails until you confirm.

How long we keep it

We keep subscriber records until you unsubscribe or you ask us to delete them. The site does not delete subscriber records on a timer. Confirmation tokens expire after 48 hours. Unsubscribe tokens expire after 400 days. Rate-limit hashes are counted for 24 hours. The site does not delete expired token rows or those rate-limit rows.

Unsubscribe

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. When you use it, we mark the record as unsubscribed and we stop sending topic emails. We do not delete the subscriber record when you unsubscribe.

Cookies

We store your cookie consent preference on this device for 12 months. We store your theme preference until you clear site data. The Google Maps embed on school pages loads only after you accept. Google Analytics 4 cookies are set only after you accept. See the Cookies section of the Terms page.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-NRK9QBVMPJ) to count visits and page views. Google is the processor. The analytics script loads only after you accept in the cookie banner. Until you accept, Consent Mode keeps analytics and advertising storage denied. Accept grants analytics storage only. Advertising storage stays denied. After you accept, Google may set the first-party cookies _ga and _ga_NRK9QBVMPJ. They last up to two years. Google Analytics 4 uses your IP address to estimate location, then discards it. It does not store the IP address. You can withdraw consent from Cookie settings in the footer. If you reject or withdraw, we do not load the analytics script and we delete the _ga cookies. The lawful basis is consent.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or erase information we hold about you. You can withdraw consent. Email hello@cloudfunder.co.uk. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
